This three day CPD 'Developing Advanced Practitioners' programme will model approaches that you can apply to your own work as an advanced practitioner, and will be delivered through a blend of input, discussion and reflection with support provided by your own mentor. There will be a strong, practical focus on evaluating and developing the knowledge, behaviour and skills that will enable you to provide effective peer-to-peer support with colleagues back in your organisation.

Enhanced Teaching, Learning and Assessment: inspiring ideas from the ‘Brushing Up’ collaborative project in hair and beauty
The course will explore how practitioners can better prepare learners for the world of work within the hair and beauty industry through the adoption of innovative teaching, learning and assessment approaches. It will include how practitioners can support experts so that they can deliver sessions for learners, and include innovative approaches to enable learners to support mental health in their working environment. The content will be relevant for those working in other vocational areas.

ETF/AoC Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment Technical Skills National Conference
A national conference on the outcomes of an ETF funded programme on Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment . Delivered by the Association of Colleges in partnership with emfec, the programme has supported 21 provider-led projects to develop and trial innovative approaches in the teaching, learning and assessment of technical skills. The conference is an opportunity to hear directly from the providers about what has worked in improving outcomes for learners in technical education, and why.

Making Maths Matter
This one day course will explore how vocational practitioners courses can incorporate maths into the curriculum alongside employer engagement. It will draw on the learning from a project led by Lincoln College as part of the Education and Training Foundation's Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment (OTLA) Programme. The project worked with teachers and employers in the engineering and creative industries, but the content will be relevant for vocational practitioners in all subject areas.

South West Transforming Teaching Learning and Assessment Projects Dissemination Day
Led by Creative Education, the Foundation has funded twenty peer led approaches to transforming and improving teaching, learning and assessment in the South West. The dissemination day is the culmination and celebration of six months of successful and innovative partnership project collaboration; the reports, impacts, strategies and resources of which will be shared with the sector via the Excellence Gateway and other websites.
