The ETF-SUNCETT Conference warmly welcomes all sector practitioners including teachers, researchers and education leaders who are interested in improving educational practice through educational research. At the Conference, practitioner-researchers supported by the ETFand the University of Sunderland's Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (SUNCETT) will share findings and insights from their practice-focused research projects.

When people come together with a common interest they create a community of practice which has a focus on improvement. You will have rich and diverse opportunities to develop your knowledge base to support your Quality Improvement (QI) project. We will signpost your to a Professional Exchange, or similar, to support the development of your QI project. We will help grow your skills & confidence by allocating you to an Action Learning Set of AP peers. We will share an AP Toolkit with you.

Developing Advanced Practitioners
This three day CPD 'Developing Advanced Practitioners' programme will model approaches that you can apply to your own work as an advanced practitioner, and will be delivered through a blend of input, discussion and reflection with support provided by your own mentor. There will be a strong, practical focus on evaluating and developing the knowledge, behaviour and skills that will enable you to provide effective peer-to-peer support with colleagues back in your organisation.

ETF/AoC Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment Technical Skills National Conference
A national conference on the outcomes of an ETF funded programme on Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment . Delivered by the Association of Colleges in partnership with emfec, the programme has supported 21 provider-led projects to develop and trial innovative approaches in the teaching, learning and assessment of technical skills. The conference is an opportunity to hear directly from the providers about what has worked in improving outcomes for learners in technical education, and why.

In the first weeks of 2018, the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) will be hosting nine free regional workshops funded by the Department for Education to promote the £10 million Flexible Learning Fund1 to employers, adult education providers and other potential bidders.
