Learners benefit from real experience in the world of work. It takes time, resources and effective planning to co-ordinate and deliver meaningful work experience. The tailored 'wrap around' package includes: - scoping discussion - CPD training tailored to your needs - up to 3 days follow up support to help drive action planning improvements, implement change, and cascade with a particular focus on maths and English within work experience.

Pricing options

There are two pricing options.:

In-house
Get the maximum value from your CPD budget, the price also includes up to three days on site bespoke support with action planning and a range of activities to facilitate change and improvements.
In-house programme £1,600
Collaborative CPD
Two organisations/colleges who would like to work together collaboratively, sharing both the cost and the support resource. One provider is named as collaborative host.

Who is this course for?

Colleges, training providers and others who deliver EFA funded 16-19 Study Programmes.

The programme may be of particular interest to leaders and managers of those Study Programmes, staff at all levels who may be involved or contribute to study programmes (and not just those directly involved in arranging work experience), work experience co-ordinators, maths and English specialists.

Training aim

To manage Study Programmes to provide meaningful work experience that maximises maths and English skills.

Outcomes

Following this support package you will be able to:

• maximise opportunities for learning and develop the use of maths and English within work experience placements

• raise the profile of work experience as an extension to learning

• more effectively plan the time and resources to co-ordinate and deliver meaningful work experience.

The one day CPD training is followed up with on-site support and a practical 'hands on' approach with action planning and cascade activities across the organisation to help drive the improvements and help to address consistency.  

Length of the course

One day CPD for colleagues across your organisation and a further three days' flexible and bespoke additional support at a time that is convenient for you. 

Entry Requirements

No entry requirements other than your organisation must deliver EFA funded 16-16 Study Programmes.
