Apprenticeships Strategic Leadership and Governance - Second Run (Code: C1105)
Part of the Education and Training Foundation's (EFT) Apprenticeship Workforce Development (AWD) programme, this programme , developed in partnership with AELP and AoC, will enable leaders and governors to develop their knowledge of apprenticeships, confidence in their roles within apprenticeships and the effective leadership skills needed to support apprenticeship delivery. The three modules are: Effective Governance of Apprenticeships, Strategic Drivers for Planning your Apprenticeship Provision and Partnerships, Collaboration and Competition.
Who is this for?
Principals, Vice Principals, Directors (Executive and Non-Executive) and Governors, in any provider type, who are involved in the delivery of apprenticeships.
The programme aims to allow participants to understand the roles, pressures and tensions facing leaders in organisations, of different types, involved in delivering apprenticeships. It will give Leaders and Governors a platform to network, increase competence and capacity and will also lay the groundwork for improved functioning of competition and collaboration driving up overall quality through a better understanding of how the infrastructure is built, how it functions and who fulfils which role.
You will have the knowledge and confidence to:
- Understand the roles, pressure and tensions facing leaders in different types of organisations delivering apprenticeships.
- Improve the functioning of competition and collaboration.
- Drive up overall quality through a better understanding of how the infrastructure is build, how it functions and who fulfils which role.
- Understand own baseline knowledge from which to develop understanding to apply to own specific contexts and future organisational planning.
The Programme is made up of a series of three online interactive workshops which are three hours in length. Participants will be required to complete pre- and post-workshop reading and tasks.
