Survive or Thrive (Code: C1130)
The Survive or Thrive workshops introduce delegates to an empirically tested model that helps identify the wide range of factors that can impact our psychological wellbeing.
It provides an opportunity to think about how and where to intervene to support us to thrive rather than just about survive.
Who is this for?
All those responsible for Safeguarding and Prevent in Further Education and Training Sector. You may be a Safeguarding Lead or Officer or someone who has this responsibility as part of their role. You may also be a senior manager, trustee, governor or director who has a lead for Safeguarding.
- To recognise psychological health as dynamic and on a continuum.
- To understand the different components of the Model of Dynamic Adaptation (MDA)®.
- To recognise the different points where intervention is possible.
To identify at least three interventions to encourage thriving.
You will have the knowledge and confidence to:
- To confidently complete a personal MDA® with a view to supporting others.
To commit to undertaking one intervention to support psychological health.
Safeguarding and/or Prevent must be your main role i.e. Designated Safeguarding Lead, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Safeguarding Officer or Lead for the organisation.
