This course is designed for teachers and trainers in FE who are or will be working with a mentor/coach (a more experienced practitioner who will support your professional learning and development).

Who is this for?

Teachers or trainers in FE who are, or who are going to be working with a mentor/coach to develop their practice and professional learning/development.

Training aim

The aim of this course is to prepare mentees for a mentoring/coaching relationship so they can maximise the potential for learning and development.

Outcomes

This course will introduce:

  • Useful tools and techniques to use with your mentor
  • Ideas for how to be a proactive and effective mentee
  • Suggestions for how to ensure the mentoring relationship supports you and your practice 

Length

Three weeks, a total of six hours.
