Using Lave and Wenger's Communities of Practice model, the DCG Centre for Excellence in SEND Curriculum team will facilitate an informal but innovative, dynamic and interactive professional conversation where effective practice, barriers to inclusion and future innovations can be explored in a safe, supportive and professional environment.

Who is this for?

Operational managers directly involved or interested in the inclusion of learners with inclusion needs.

Training aim

For operational curriculum managers to explore their curriculum offer, anticipation of needs, advice and guidance, support planning, assessment of progress and much much more in a community of other knowledgeable and passionate operational managers.

Outcomes

  • Identify and share effective operational leadership practice relevant to inclusion
  • Discuss and explore ideas, theories and innovation related inclusive operational leadership
  • Develop confidence in self-assessment and coaching of others using the community of practice model

Length

30 minutes every fourth Tuesday of the month (apart from December)
