The Correlation with Mental Health and Wellbeing in Maths (Code: C1323)
Within this informal webinar delegates are encouraged to discuss and participate in creating an "anxiety safe classroom" for their delivery of Maths. Delegates will explore "emotional differentiation and problem solving" solutions for when a learner is faced with a subject specific anxiety, as well as enhancing practitioners understanding of "cognitive schemas" and how these are important in relation to experiences in Maths.

This webinar will focus on the Introduction of affective profiling to appreciate learner context in relation to Maths. The session will look at emotional differentiation and problem solving solutions for specific subject related anxiety. The aim is to help practitioners to create anxiety safe environments which encourage learners to be self- aware and to self- regulate anxieties and worries around accessing the Maths curriculum.
The outcomes of the course aims to:
- Develop practitioners understanding of effective profiling, cognitive schemas and emotional differentiation can improve outcomes in Maths classroom.
- Share examples of good practice for creating anxiety safe classrooms resulting in an impactful learning environment.
- Provide relevant evidence based research around how to manage Emotional differentiation and how to problem solve for subject specific anxieties.
