This is a subsidised rate for providers that receive funding from the ESFA. For providers not receiving funding the full cost is £487.50

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at any current managers and teachers; advanced or lead practitioners; learning and performance coaches and mentors working in the FE and Skills sector to deliver Initial Teacher Training.

The four day programme is ideal for those with a good understanding of subject knowledge and skills and for those wishing to develop their knowledge and skills further to ensure the confident delivery of relevant, contextualised and enjoyable Initial Teacher Training.

Throughout there will be lots of practical ideas, opportunities for knowledge exchange and the sharing of resources that have had proven impact on learning.

  • address the contemporary issues, priorities and themes in order for trainers to provide relevant and expansive professional learning
  • use data effectively to track and support learner progress
  • effectively support the progression of your trainees
  • develop your trainees' understanding of how to integrate employability skill development in classroom teaching and learning, to include English and STEM skills
  • enhance flexible learning through technology
  • build capacity for quality improvement in Initial Teacher Training provision through action research.

Length of the course

This practical four day course will give you the opportunity to improve your subject knowledge and skills, learn what to teach and how to teach it best.

Entry Requirements
