Who is this for?

Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Principals in the Further Education (FE) and Training sector.

Training aim

The programme will build resilience and leadership capability within the FE sector's leadership and will be developed in close partnership with Saïd Business School. It will develop confident strategic thinkers who can work with complexity, ambiguity and with multiple stakeholders.

Outcomes

The programme is a mix of strategic leadership and technical. Key initial themes include adaptive leadership, strategic thinking, strategic finance, collaboration and partnerships, resilience, reputation and prestige.

The programme aims to develop leaders who can:

  • see and engage with the wider system and political environment
  • manage and change the institutional culture
  • build the senior team
  • work collaboratively with the Board and its Chair
  • build partnerships with employers
  • understand finance and possess business acumen.

Length

The programme consists of a development centre and 3x three-day residential modules at Saïd Business School's dedicated executive education facilities at Egrove Park in Oxford and a digital learning module. You will also be supported by Oxford coaches and will have the opportunity to apply your learning through action learning projects in between modules.

All participants will be eligible for membership of Oxford Business Alumni. 

 

Full board accommodation at the Egrove Park campus is included in the course fee.

  • Module Three: 27 – 30 November 2023



Entry Requirements

This course is open only to CEOs in the Further Education and training sector who are designated as the Chief Accounting Officer for their organisation.
