Information, advice and guidance is key to a successful start at a new College or provider, especially for learners with inclusion needs.

Understanding what a learner's aspirations, requirements and outcomes are key to planning an inclusive curriculum and personalised study programme.

In this short session, we discuss how to plan and explore a successful transition with honest and constructive CEIAG.

Who is this for?

Practitioners and managers with a responsibility for the transition of learners with inclusion needs into colleges and providers from schools and other providers.

Training aim

To introduce and explore operational methods of working with individuals, parents/carers, and schools (and other providers) to create a welcoming, informed, and anticipatory (of needs) environment in colleges and providers.

Outcomes

  1. Recognise the role of co-creation (with stakeholders) in transition from one provider to another
  2. Recognise the importance of meaningful and honest IAG in the transition of learners
  3. Recognise how IAG and transition arrangements inform the anticipation of needs for inclusion in curriculum

30 min deliver with 15 min discussion time afterwards
