Fractions, Decimals, Percentages: Creating Connections, Coherence and Confidence (Code: C1835)
Focusing on fractions, decimals, percentages, and place value, this course supports teachers to help learners develop a solid conceptual understanding of number and proportional relationships. Teachers will explore both how learners develop meaning around these topics as well as strategies grounded in Mastery principles to support learners develop confidence in these critical areas. Strategies include using representations such as bar models and ratio tables to highlight underlying mathematical structure and connections between the topics, and using misconceptions to build on prior learning.
