The course will enable delegates to reflect on the latest sector trends and "what works" in SEND provision, to identify opportunities to improve their organisation's current delivery.

SET Member: £170.00 (https://set.et-foundation.co.uk)

Non-SET Member: £200.00. This is a subsidised rate for providers that receive funding from the ESFA.

For providers not receiving funding the full cost is £300.00

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for all senior leaders, particularly those with an interest in or level of responsibility for SEND delivery.

Training aim

Identify the impact of recent reforms and expectations of CQC and Ofsted in relation to SEND provision.  Assess current effectiveness of leadership and partnership working and explore wider institutional strategy and best practice to improve outcomes for learners with SEND.

Outcomes

You will have the knowledge and confidence to: 

  • fulfil the responsibilities of senior leaders in relation to SEND reforms
  • critically self-examine the organisation's SEND strategies, resources and staff, identifying weaknesses and understanding how to address them
  • implement changes to SEND delivery, using examples of leading practice to contribute enhanced outcomes for SEND students • Embed and implement effective leadership & governance in SEND provision.

One day workshop (10.00 - 17.00)

Entry Requirements

This course will be focused on the role of senior leaders in improving SEND outcomes.

There is an assumption that you will be familiar with the recent SEND reforms, however this course is designed to strengthen this understanding.
