Study Programmes

Learners benefit from real experience in the world of work, which takes time, resources and effective planning to coordinate and deliver meaningful work placements. This support package raises the profile of work placements helping maximise the opportunities for learning and developing their maths and English skills through work experience. The package includes: Inital discussion, Tailored CPD, Goal setting and planning, up to three days follow up support.

Pricing options

For a provider to take part in a support package: £1600.00

This is a subsidised rate for providers that receive funding from the SFA. For providers not receiving funding the full cost is £2700.00 

Who is this course for?

Colleges, training providers and others who deliver ESFA funded 16-19 Study programmes. The programme may be of particular interest to leaders and managers of those Study Programmes, all staff at all levels who may be involved or contribute to study programmes (and not just those directly involved in arranging work experience), work placement co-ordinators and maths and English specialists.

To manage Study Programmes, developing work placements that promote the importance of maths and English skills.

Outcomes

You will have the knowledge and confidence to:

• maximise opportunities for learning and develop the use of maths and English within work experience placements

• raise the profile of work placements as an extension to learning

• more effectively plan the time and resources to coordinate and deliver meaningful work experience.


Length of the course

The one-day CPD training is followed up with on-site support and a practical 'hands on' approach with goal setting and cascade activities across the organisation to help drive the improvements and help to address consistency.

Entry Requirements

No entry requirements other than your organisation must deliver ESFA funded 16-19 Study Programmes.
