Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)

A fabulous opportunity to focus on improving the curriculum for learners with SEND. Topics include employer engagement, developing pathways to supported internships and apprenticeships, improving transition, social skills development, and co-creating the curriculum with learners. Come and learn from colleagues from across the FE sector as we showcase a wealth of newly-developed resources including a range of practical tools, recorded webinars, and online modules.

Non-SET member : £100

This is a subsidised rate for providers that receive funding from the ESFA. For providers not receiving funding the full cost is £150 

Who is this course for?

FE professionals working with learners with SEND, including managers and practitioners involved in the management, quality assurance, design and/or delivery of study programmes for learners with SEND, including both mainstream and discrete provision.

Training aim

To support youto improve study programmes for learners with SEND, through sharing innovative practice and high-quality resources.


You will have the knowledge and confidence to: 

  • take away effective practice tips that you can apply or adapt in your own settings to support improvement of study programmes for learners with SEND
  • know where to locate resources to help you in improving the curriculum for learners with SEND
  • establish links with colleagues in other settings with whom you can collaborate in taking forward your own curriculum development projects.
