Using coaching strategies to support maths & English (North)

"Coaching is a process which aims to unlock a person's potential to maximise their own performance by helping them to learn rather than teaching them." (Whitmore, 2003). This course focuses on how teachers can develop and incorporate coaching approaches into their repertoire of skills, and use these to help maths & English learners become more independent, resilient and resourceful. It will encourage teachers to think differently about their practice and the learning culture in their classroom.
