- Work in an organisation with an annual turnover of less than £500,000

To develop an in-depth understanding of and approaches to teaching the following:
- Webinar 1 - Getting to grips with spelling and punctuation; exploring strategies for supporting Functional Skills and GCSE English learners in these areas
- Webinar 2 - A focus on grammar and developing complex sentences and vocabulary
- Webinar 3 - Reading skills - analysing how writers use language and structure to create meaning
- Webinar 4 - Writing skills - writing for different purposes and audiences including creative writing
- Webinar 5 - Speech and language - effective presentations/understanding your audience
- Webinar 6 - Developing structured interventions and support for a range of students
You will have the knowledge and confidence to:
• Teach the topics with confidence
• Find different ways to teach the English skills students struggle with
• Make links between the topic areas and relate these to real life situations
• Give effective feedback and deal with misconceptions
Length of the course
Each webinar will last 60 minutes
No previous knowledge needed. Just a willingness to learn, ask questions and have a go.
