Who is this for?
The Governance Development Programme is aimed at the following:
- Vice Chairs
- Clerks/Governance Professionals
Whether you're new to college governance, or have years of experience on a Board, the GDP will have something to help you take your skills and knowledge to the next level. The GDP aims to build your knowledge and skills, so you are empowered to bring even greater value to the organisations and students that you serve.
This programme will provide a comprehensive and structured approach to the continuous development of FE board members.
Through the development and production of the Governance Development Framework (GDF) we will support board members to develop their skills, add value to their organisation, learners and wider community.
An overview of the programme and learning outcomes for each module can be found on the Foundation Online Learning platform.
You will have the knowledge and confidence to:
- fulfill your responsibilities as a governor
- support and challenge senior leaders and the wider college organisations
- make effective use of your professional experience in your role as a governor.
Participants must be Governors, Chairs, Clerks or Vice Chairs of FE and/or Sixth Form College Boards.
