T Levels: Employer-led Practice and Development workshop for the Digital sector (*session 2 of 2)

This employer-led session focusses on Software Development processes demonstrating the latest techniques within the Computing and IT Industry. This workshop will be delivered by Leighton, software solutions specialists who work with global clients such as British Airways, Home Group, Tourism Australia. Participants will gain an insight into current working practices, ensuring that they, and subsequently their learners, have a clear line of sight to work.

Who is this for?

The session is designed for all staff involved in T Level delivery; this includes course leaders, lecturers, trainers, teachers, assessors, curriculum planners and managers.

*Please note this session is part 2 of 2 workshops on the 6 December at New College Durham. Attendees are advised to also book the employer-led Information, Advice and Guidance session at 9:00am - 10:45am.


Outcomes

By the end of this session you will better understand:

1. Current industry technologies, tools and practices employed in software development

2. The need to enrich curriculum design and teaching strategies to better equip students for industry placements and their wider learning.
