With social media being fully accessible, its use in the commercial public and private sectors is increasing. Cost-effective solutions range from free use of social media to inexpensive targeted campaigns. Learn how the ever growing and evolving innovative business ecosystem of social media is having a significant impact on the workplace environment, future employees, freelancers and the public. An industry professional will share their expertise and knowledge in these two workshops.

Who is this for?

The event is designed for all staff involved in T Level delivery; this includes course leaders, lecturers, trainers, teachers, assessors, curriculum planners and managers.

Training aim

This event will raise your awareness of current practice in preparation for T Level delivery. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of current industry practice in preparation for T Level delivery, to ensure that there is a clear line of sight to work embedded in classroom teaching and learning.


By the end of the information, advice and guidance workshop you will better understand:

  • The importance of using social media for designing and implementing campaigns  
  • How to effectively use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram 
  • Challenges faced by employers in the industry.

By the end of the practice and development workshop you will better understand:

  • Teaching strategies to allow students to use these tools
  • Ethics of being a positive influencer on social media
  • Real life effective examples.


Information, Advice and Guidance workshop: 11am - 1pm

Practice and Development workshop: 2pm - 4pm

Lunch will be provided when attending both sessions
