This event has been designed and organised, and will be facilitated by, Advanced Practitioners from a range of further education settings in the South and East of England. It is open to anyone working in FE in an educational role who has an interest in quality improvement.

Whether you teach, support and guide learners or manage people and curricula (at any level), you are welcome to attend, share your experience and take away both inspiration and practical ideas which will have a real impact on the quality of your practice.

We will also be introducing you to the AP Toolkit of online resources, including the excellent new guide for managers and leaders.

Training aim

After nearly two years of rich learning and development, Advanced Practitioners involved in the #APConnect professional development programme aim have come together to share excellent practice around quality improvement with the rest of the further education sector.

The event will showcase practitioner research projects and evidence-informed interventions from Advanced Practitioners who have experienced the transformational potential of new initiatives. The day is filled with opportunities to discuss, learn from and practice new and impactful approaches to quality improvement.

The event will also include case studies and updates from the East of England Professional Exchange Network.

You will have the knowledge and confidence to:

  • Implement at least one new quality improvement initiative within your organisation
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the Advanced Practitioner role and its potential for quality improvement
  • Access, explore and take practical stimulation from the five Advanced Practitioner guides and the AP Toolkit
  • Network in a meaningful way with others across different sectors of further and adult education.
