The Collaborative Practice Development Day - South East is a new CPD opportunity providing a platform for practitioners to enhance their skills in teaching, learning and assessment via collaboration and networking. The first part of this interactive day includes a selection of workshops on key topics, hosted by expert speakers. The second part is a series of apprenticeship workshops sharing best practice on what has worked in their organisations and how.

Training aim

This event will support and develop best practice through collaboration in understanding and using the professional standards in all teaching related to the sector.  


After participating in the event attendees will be able to:

  • Identify and evaluate the professional standards in relation to their own practice
  • Identify strategies for enhanced practice in at least two priority areas.
  • Apply strategies for best practice to their own practice
  • Recognise the importance of collaboration in developing strategies to enhance learning, teaching and assessment. for the sector

As part of the event there will be a series of workshops and you will need to rank these is order of preference so that the event management team can ensure that as many 1st and 2nd preferences are assured as possible.

The workshops are:

  1. Experiential workshop on English delivery
  2. Experiential workshop on maths delivery in Apprenticeships
  3. Skills Competitions in Teaching and Learning
  4. Considering approaches and implications of apprenticeship reform
