Training aim

This course aims to develop participants' awareness of practical approaches to address differentiation with maths and English learners.


You will have the knowledge and confidence to:

  • Identify how to design non-linear curricula that enable learners to make progress from different starting points in maths and English.
  • Design differentiated teaching, learning and assessment activities that enable learners to make personal progress.
  • Support learners to develop self-belief and resilience through the use of coaching strategies.


This is a blended learning course, which consists of two 90-minute live sessions and self-led learning between them. The live sessions are one week apart, giving you a week to complete the mid-course tasks.
