This course is a series of online networking and development events for FE College Chairs to generate the sharing of innovative and creative thinking in order to assist them in their roles during these challenging and unprecedented times.

Who is this for?
This webinar is open to FE College Chairs only.
We are privileged to be joined by Shirley Collier MBE, a certified coach, mentor, and consultant. Shirley has worked directly with individuals in a range of private, public and third sector organisations, including a number of Further Education colleges. In addition, Shirley provides leadership development, evaluation, and governance advice to a number of high-profile organisations such as the British Museum, nasen (the National Association of Special Educational Needs) and the Council for British Archaeology.
The session will explore the pros and cons of using a coaching or mentoring style to support the CEO/Principal of their college.
- Chairs will explore the pros and cons of using a coaching or mentoring style to support the CEO/Principal of their college
- Chairs will consider and situate a coaching style within other prevailing styles of management and accountability
- Participants should leave the session with a clearer understanding of when it might be appropriate to use coaching and mentoring to develop their CEO/Principal, whether or not they want to introduce this currently and if so, what their development path and action plan might consist of.
