The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has developed a high-quality professional development offer to support teachers, trainers and leaders who will be delivering T Levels in 2020 and beyond. These short (2½ hour) practical CPD sessions for teachers and trainers introduce and explore the use of formative assessment to deliver, monitor, and evidence T Level learner progress, to increase motivation, and confidence in readiness for formal assessment.

Introduction to Developing Embedded English, Maths and Digital in T Levels
This is a one-day, face-to-face session and is the first step in a four-part programme supporting the teaching of core English, maths and digital (EMD) skills, which are embedded in each T Level route and pathway. The session explores what is meant by developing embedded EMD and the requirements for T Levels. Participants will consider their role and develop action plans to support the development of embedded EMD, before moving on to select from three specialist e-learning modules.

Professional Practice, Assessment and Subject Specialist Teacher Training workshops

Professional Practice - The session will provide support for teachers and trainers on teaching parts of the T Level content with reference to current industry practice.

Assessment - The sessions will cover the performance requirements and assessment components of the T Level.

Subject Teaching Training - These sessions will provide subject specialist knowledge and training and share technical teaching tips on aspects of the T Level curriculum.

This two-hour employer-led session will provide an update on key developments within the Childcare sector. This workshop will be delivered by Selby Cottage Childcare Centre, a leading day nursery located in Chester-Le-Street. Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment, and the challenges faced by the sector in order to better inform students when offering careers information, advice and guidance.

This two-hour employer-led session will provide an update on Building Regulations within the Construction sector. This workshop will be delivered by Murray Watt, a Building Control Surveyor for PWC Building Services Ltd. Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment, and the challenges faced by the sector to better inform students when offering impartial high quality careers advice and guidance.

This workshop will be delivered by practitioners from the Association of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems. Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment, and the challenges faced by the sector to better inform students when offering impartial high quality careers advice and guidance.

Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment, and the challenges faced by the sector in order to better inform students when offering careers information, advice and guidance.

Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment, and the challenges faced by the digital sector in order to better inform students when offering impartial careers information, advice and guidance.

This session will be delivered by Robert Franks, MD of West Midlands 5G Ltd (WM5G), an organisation set up to deliver the UK's first region-wide 5G testbed. It will focus on key developments surrounding the rollout of 5G across the West Midlands. Participants will gain an understanding of the behaviours required to progress into skilled employment and the challenges faced by the digital sector, in order to better inform students when offering careers information, advice and guidance.

This session will focus on workforce transformation, values-based recruitment and emerging roles within the Healthcare sector. It will be delivered by senior representatives from East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, a leading employer within the region with over 8,000 staff, some of whom are award-winning and internationally renowned for their achievements. Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment.
