Chairs Leadership Programme

The Chairs' Leadership Programme includes a 1-day conference (CLP) titled 'The Future of Work and Learning.' The conference brings together the entire alumni community across all CLP cohorts for an enriching peer learning and networking experience. Delivered at the Institute of Directors' flagship venue in London and streamed live online, the event is eligible for CPD hours and includes a range of high-profile keynote speakers including FE Commissioner Shelagh Legrave CBE, panel discussions and interactive workshops. To book your place, please click below.

Diversity in Leadership
Diversity in Leadership (Code: C0639)

The aim of this programme is to challenge bias, remove obstacles to achieving leadership roles and provide coaching to motivate and build confidence in aspiring leaders across the sector. The programme includes organisational culture change workshops and coaching for 30 diverse aspiring leaders and Governors, in particular those from a BAME background and those with protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. New for 2021/22 is a diversity masterclass series of three modules covering topics to address and reverse structural discrimination and to promote diversity and inclusion.

One of three sessions developed in response to feedback from women, especially women of Black (African, Caribbean, Black British) Asian, mixed, and minority ethnic heritage, who took part in our 2020 ETF/WLN Women Up course, about how women's voices are 'heard' in the workplace. Develop skills to shape and influence conversations, particularly those that can be difficult. Learn how to use your voice for impact and how to support others to do the same.
