Delivered by Clare Howard and David Lucas, this one-day workshop responds to requests from participants from our Essential SEND Managers' course. The workshop will explain how to use the various funding streams, provide an outline of how high needs funding, disadvantage blocks and the adult education budget can support learners with SEND including those with EHCPs. It will also provide top tips on contracting, relationships with LAs and direction of travel in high needs funding.

The 'Maximising Potential' module is led by Davina Jones from National Star, a UK Independent Specialist College and charity specialising in working with young people with disabilities to provide inclusive learning opportunities and to challenge stereotypes, raise aspirations and change attitudes. The module is a designed to support you to develop essential SEND knowledge and skills. These will enable you to meet the statutory duties and provide a personalised learning experience.

The course will be delivered by Di Neale (Leadership Centre) and Barney Angliss (ETF associate) who are experts in strengthening leadership across public services, including specialist education. The module will give you tools and techniques for working in complex situations, but will also be grounded in practice, so that you have an opportunity to try out Systems Leadership approaches for yourself and reflect on how you can apply these to real-time issues you're facing.
