Big Data, Cybersecurity, and the Future of Learning (Code: C1601)

This conference will provide an opportunity to hear from industry and education experts, while networking, sharing and disseminating effective practice. We will explore why Big Data is ubiquitous with work, learning and life, and the importance of cybersecurity and the need for increasing skills in this area, exploring how we work collaboratively to meet the needs of the future learners. We will explore how we use labour market information to support effective curriculum design and delivery, allowing us to address skills shortages, and the growth of the technical STEM talent pipeline.

Who is this for?

The conference is for senior leaders, managers, subject specialist leaders, employers and stakeholders.

Training aim

  • Hear from industry and education experts who will share their knowledge, insights and best practice examples, so that you can consider how you may use toolkits, resources, and trial tried and tested approaches for improving the quality of digital technical teaching and learning.
  • Raise awareness of how technology is shaping working practices, learning and life using effective practice case studies

  • Build a resource bank for use at your organisation that will support evidence informed curriculum design and delivery

  • Explore how to enrich and enhance the learning experiences of learners and apprentices through projects, employer encounters and  competitions such as WorldSkills
