Training aim
To increase an awareness of innovative practices that could support a learner with PCLD to make aspirational and sustainable progress to increase their ability to achieve high expectations devised from their EHCP’s. Learners with PCLD may need support throughout their lives, however, a sensory curriculum could develop a young person’s ability to self-advocate, self-regulate and achieve a greater level of independence.
We will discuss a range of practices that can be used to ensure a curriculum not only meets everyone needs but stretches and challenges their learning to enable, empower young people to create a meaningful, sustainable and valuable supported adulthood.
Partnership working and and the development of robust transitions into and out of college ensures the correct support is in place for individuals with complex needs by people they trust.
