Who is this for?
For FE leaders who are serious about moving beyond good intentions to sustainable change, by leading momentum in long-term thinking, whilst maximising short-term opportunities.
Professional Standards 4, 6, 8, 12, 22 for Middle Leaders.
Training aim
This immersive online network takes a fresh approach to professional development: community-led professional learning.
Sustainable change comes about when (short-term) projects are scaffolded by long-term changemaking and the latest research shows that long-term changemaking can only happen in community. The network curates and highlights the latest research findings around sustainable adaptive leadership. It creates ample opportunities for you to create community with peers around a range of research-based activities.
In the second half of the session expert-led ‘CPD’ finds its place in the exploration of one of FE’s ‘big issues’ - AI in the workplace. Contextualised and informative in itself, you will also learn how to lever ‘big issues’ to scaffold long-term thinking.
Outcomes
You will have:
- Identified what you can apply from the latest research on adaptive and sustainable teams
- reflected on how you can sustain long-term momentum around FE’s ‘big issues’ (in this case AI), whilst maximising short-term opportunities
- examined the organisational benefits of rethinking networking as a way of harnessing staff energy, confidence and agency and establishing your own sustainable communities of support.
