BackThis is a new and exciting online course from ETF beginning November 2024 and designed to be undertaken over a series of weeks. The programme includes:
- 4 x 90 min modules
- 2 x 45 min introduction to sector and next steps (top & tail)
- 1 x 60 min Flagship speaker
- 2 x 30 min ‘teach meet’ networks

Who is this for?
- Brand new educators (new to sector, new to education) and support them through their first few weeks and months
- Suitable also for the wider sector (Adult education, Independent Training Providers, Offender education etc.)
Training aim
- Showcase different go-to teaching strategies & take aways that can provide a foundation for classroom practice
- Equip participants with the knowledge, confidence and resources needed to step into their roles as educators
- Compliment current teaching qualifications
Outcomes
There are four modules in this programme.
Each module is designed to:
- Focus on the role of teaching from a range of different perspectives
- ‘Deconstruct’ the complexity of the teaching role
- Support those new to the sector and mitigate against them becoming overwhelmed
