In this session, we'll explore how our model bridges local businesses and education providers, creating tailored opportunities for learners with SEND. By fostering collaboration, we enhanced employment outcomes through real-world work experiences, Neuroinclusion and Conscious Inclusion skills training for employers, and support that can meet both employer needs and learner capabilities.

This webinar will be of interest to a variety of people working within the SEND field including leaders, curriculum managers, specialist practitioners, support workers etc.
Training aim
- Highlight key strategies that aim to forge stronger connections between employers, the college and learners to improve employment and learner outcomes.
- How increasing employer engagement through various online and in-person forums, including targeted networking sessions; gained traction in the region.
- Showcase how collaboration with local SEND teams, and participation in college-held conferences; connected employers to working with the team and the learners.
- The importance of an engaging marketing strategy, including targeted emails, press releases, and blogs highlighting success stories.
- Strong communication between engagement teams and the SEND faculty will be emphasised as ongoing learner progress is closely monitored by all stakeholders.
- Reasonable adjustments and the key role of job coaches in supporting these employment pathways.
