Community of Practice - Empowering SEND Learners for Higher Education: Understanding the UCAS platform and shaping the content (Code: C1812)

This Community of Practice, facilitated by Oldham College, will demonstrate how students and practitioners can effectively use the UCAS platform to support learners with an EHCP on their pathway to university and higher education institutions (HEIs).

Attendees will also have the opportunity to influence future content development for the platform.

By the end of the session, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to navigate UCAS for EHCP learners, understand new initiatives and upcoming changes, and be equipped to contribute to shaping future updates to the platform.

 This session is for all FE practitioners, and anyone working to improve the outcomes of learners with SEND.

Training aim

The aim of this session is to demonstrate how students and practitioners can utilise the UCAS platform to support learners with an EHCP on their pathway to university and higher education institutions (HEIs), while providing attendees the opportunity to influence future content development.
