Improving Engagement and Motivation in GCSE English Lessons (Code: C1844)

This course will explore practical and digital strategies to support teachers in planning activities to boost motivation and  engagement within GCSE English lessons. The morning session will use a carousel of engaging activities to immerse attendees in some of the techniques they could use to boost learner engagement, alongside why it is important to create positive learning environments. The afternoon session will see some guided breakout time to begin planning more motivational lessons, away from simply teaching to an exam.
