Subsidised Places
For Department for Education (DfE) funded courses there is a limited number of places offered to participants fully subsided. The fully subsidised places are fully funded by the DfE, the participant and / or their provider pay £0. These places are offered to ensure greater diversity on high quality CPD. To qualify the participant must either:
- Consider themself to have a disability.
- Come from black or minority ethnic community.
- Work in an organisation with an annual turnover of less than £500,000.

Who is this for?
Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and Principals in the Further Education (FE) and Training sector.
Training aim
The programme will build resilience and capability within the FE sector's leadership and will be developed in close collaboration with our delivery partner. The programme will develop confident strategic thinkers who can work with complexity, ambiguity and with multiple stakeholders.
Outcomes
The programme is a mix of strategic leadership and technical. Key initial themes include adaptive leadership, strategic thinking, strategic finance, collaboration and partnerships, resilience, reputation and prestige.
The programme aims to develop leaders who can:
- see and engage with the wider system and political environment
- manage and change the institutional culture
- build the senior team
- work collaboratively with the Board and its Chair
- build partnerships with employers
- understand finance and possess business acumen.
Length
The programme consists of a development centre and two 3-day residential modules. Delegates will be supported by coaching through tutorials and will have the opportunity to apply theory through action learning projects in between modules.
Full board accommodation is included in the course fee throughout the two residential stays.
Entry Requirements
This course is open only to CEOs in the Further Education and training sector in England who are designated as the Chief Accounting Officer for their organisation.
