Oldham College - Centres for Excellence in SEND: Curriculum - Developing an employer informed curriculum to support young people with SEND into work (Code: C1711)

This online event will focus on co-creating the curriculum - how working with employers can help educators to create a responsive experience, for both employers and young people with SEND.

Guest speakers will join this event to share their experiences.

Two subsequent Community of practice sessions focus on using the Gatsby Benchmarks to prepare learners with SEND for employment, and identifying strategies that will engage employers by thinking outside the box.

Who is this for?

This event is for educators and employers who work with, or who are planning to work with, students with SEND. 

Training aim

This workshop will deliver strategies from both an educator and employer perspective on how to work together to inform the curriculum.  

Outcomes

Attendees will gain an awareness of the different ways they can work with employers to enhance their curriculum.
