Who is this for?

All staff involved in supporting learners into FE and particularly SEND leads, managers and support staff who want to identify effective ways of supporting learners with autism back into college

Training aim

To arrange and deliver bespoke, transition programmes for learners with autism; liaising with parents/carers and outside agencies to ensure a seamless transition.

Outcomes

This session will cover:

  • How anxiety and isolation impact learners on the autism spectrum.
  • The importance of individualised plans.
  • Why partnership working is essential.
  • How we develop transition packages.
  • A blended approach to transition.
