This session will be delivered by Robert Franks, MD of West Midlands 5G Ltd (WM5G), an organisation set up to deliver the UK's first region-wide 5G testbed. It will focus on key developments surrounding the rollout of 5G across the West Midlands. Participants will gain an understanding of the behaviours required to progress into skilled employment and the challenges faced by the digital sector, in order to better inform students when offering careers information, advice and guidance.

The Understanding T Levels CPD offer will aim to ensure that the FE workforce has information about T Levels so they a) understand the implications for their role and b) can advise students (including those with SEND) effectively about their options and to ensure that teachers in schools advising young people understand what T Levels are and what the potential benefits are.

This workshop will be delivered by Murray Watt, a Building Control Surveyor for PWC Building Services Ltd. Participants will gain an understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress into skilled employment, and the challenges faced by the sector to better inform students when offering impartial high quality careers advice and guidance.
